Several In-home day care providers, together with a number of facilities available in Holstein, provide numerous sources from which to choose.

PUBLIC SCHOOLS

The towns of Galva, Holstein, Schaller & Early have consolidated to form a school district with the upper elementary being housed in Galva. The Ridge View School District has a faculty of 52 teachers with combined enrollment of in the three schools (elementary, middle/junior high, and high school) of 727 students. See also:

The school system offers a wide variety of extracurricular activities. Statistics show that ninety percent of the student body participates in at least one activity and the majority of that percentile is enrolled in several programs. The community overwhelmingly voted for a school bond in August of 1997 showing the community’s ever increasing support of an excellent educational system.

TECHNICAL SCHOOLS, COLLEGES & UNIVERSITIES

Western Iowa Tech, located in Cherokee, and Iowa Central Community College located in Storm Lake, offer a short commute for quality education.

Three four year college and institutions are located in the area: Briar Cliff and Morningside located in Sioux City (45 miles) and Buena Vista University in Storm Lake (30 miles).

The state also boasts of three universities: Iowa State University, Ames; University of Iowa, Iowa City: University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls- all nationally accredited and respected.
